  • We want YOU!...to be our next drummer.

    Current mood:hopeful

    Hey party people,

Sooooooo, we may or may not be looking for a drummer right now. WITJ? and Brett have parted our separate ways, and we wish him the best of luck in the future.

Okay, so we’re definitely looking for a new drummer. If you like ska and appreciate an innovative, progressive approach to music (and a kickass drumming style) then we’re looking for you! The only requirements are owning your own drum kit that you can be creative with, freedom to come to practice twice times a week and play gigs at least twice a month, interest in taking the band a step further if the opportunity arises with potential local touring, etc., a sense of humor (no attitudes, PLEASE!!)…and knowing what kind of music ska is would also be nice. We’re looking for someone with a lot of energy who can keep a steady beat even at a fast pace. Check out our music on our media page for a better idea of what we’re looking for.

We’re all in our twentysomethings, but if age doesn’t matter to you then it doesn’t matter to us. Drop us a line and we’ll talk! We’re looking forward to it…

    …MUAHAHAHA!

(Don’t let the maniacal laugh discourage you.)

  • 92.7/96.9 WRRV Annual Chestnut Roast

Hi everybody, I just wanted to make a quick post talking about the upcoming benefit show this month.

The 92.7/96.9 WRRV Annual Chestnut Roast Benefit Show consists of a ton of local bands spanning many musical genres across ALL 3 stages of The Chance Complex, so there's plenty for everybody to enjoy.  (Think mini-Warped or mini-Bamboozle).  WRRV will also be giving away some prizes, so everybody's a winner!  (Well, not really, but you're all winners to us....cue the "awww....").  All proceeds will go to benefit The Jen Coudrey Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The show is December 19th and the fun begins at 3pm.  Please come out and support a good cause.  Also, if you'd like to support us, please contact one of us to purchase your tickets directly from us.  We have a specific number of tickets to sell and the more we sell, the better stage and time we get at the show.  You can purchase tickets at our online store or by emailing us directly at contact@whatsinthisjuice.com.  Thank you so much for supporting us!  We couldn't do it without your help.

We're really looking forward to playing with so many excellent local bands, several of whom we are friends with.  Please come out and support your local music scene.  It's not fun unless you're there!

As always, we'll see you at the show!

  • Discover Our Newest Song: "Undiscovered!"

    Current mood:accomplished

    Well hello there...how YOU doin?

We just want to let you all know that our newest song HAS BEEN POSTED! It's called Undiscovered, is almost six minutes long, and might possibly contain a horn fanfare and a few other surprises; give it a listen to see what they are! If you like music or fun, you should check it out...and if you're reading this, there's a good chance you might like at least one of these things. And if it makes you dance, cry, or want to hurl, let us know -- your feedback makes us better! (We know we said this with Rodney, but we think this one's our best yet...that's a good sign, right?)

Thanks for sticking with us and listening! You guys rock!

  • Look! New People!

    Hey everyone!

So after a crazy, confusing and still somehow awesomely fun few months of waffling around incomplete, WITJ? has finally found our missing pieces! (Cue: Awwww!) Yes, we are now a complete band. No more begging for musicians to come jam with us. No more worrying about whether or not we'll be a full band by the time a show comes along. And, alas, no more blog posts about new people or semi-new people or missing people or future people. We are complete!

So who are these new mystery band members?

Our new trumpet player, Andrew Sanfratello, hails from Yorktown and has been playing trumpet since he was nine years old. Luckily he met up with Jeff where they both went to college in Binghamton at pep band, and Jeff was able to suck him into the chaos that is WITJ? He lends strong treble horns and even more high energy presence to the mix, and we're psyched to have him!

Permanently slappin' da bass with us is Daniel Goodwin, a Virginia native who just moved to Poughkeepsie within the past year with his wife and daughter. With an eclectic background of musical interests that range from everything from progressive to hard rock to bluegrass to jazz/funk fusion. We are excited to add Dan's groovy bass stylings to WITJ?

You can find more information about Andrew and Dan on our bios page. In the meantime, we're sitting on a bunch of insane new material and getting ready to play out a whole lot this coming fall, including a show with the one and only Toasters at The Loft on October 29th...so keep an eye out for us!

    Cheers,
    WITJ?
