    Due to overwhelming response to the MARS300 shows in NYC, Thirty Seconds To Mars is adding a second CHURCH OF MARS : MARS FOR HAITI night on December 9 at St Peter's of Chelsea with100% of proceeds going to aid those in Haiti who are still suffering from the devastating earthquake.

    (New York, NY – November 22, 2011) - Thirty Seconds To Mars acclaimed album 'This Is War' has been certified Gold by the RIAA, giving the band even more reason to celebrate during their Mars 300 shows next month in NYC which will commemorate their Guinness Book Of World Record breaking 300th show played during a single album cycle. 'This Is War' which was proclaimed "an artistic triumph" by Alternative Press Magazine and "epic rock at is most affecting" by Billboard was released on December 9th, 2009 and has since sold over 1.5 million albums and 1 million singles around the world. It is certified Platinum in three countries including the UK, Germany and Poland and has achieved Gold status in seven countries including Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and now in the U.S.
    As previously announced, the band will celebrate their 300th show at Hammerstein Ballroom on Dec. 7th. They added an additional show on Dec. 6th after tickets sold-out in minutes. Fans now have another opportunity to celebrate Mars 300 as Thirty Seconds To Mars will play a very special acoustic Church of Mars show at Saint Peter's Church on Dec. 8th with guests Vitamin String Quartet.     their 5th and 6th EMA awards last night in Belfast when they were announced the winners of the 2011 Best Alternative Award and Best World Stage. Not only were they nominated in 3 categories, they were the most successful band at the show, bringing home 2 awards. The
    awards were particularly meaningful for Mars as they were completely fan voted by their dedicated family of believers around the world collectively called 'The Echelon'.

    Lead singer, Jared Leto said, "When you have a family of passionate tireless believers like The Echelon, anything is possible. We proudly accept this on their behalf and thank them for the reminder that from faith and action, dreams come alive."
