    Zen Macrobiotics by George Ohsawa. I read alot of technology, science, and nutrition based material. The last books I read for leisure are the Harry Potter books. I am amazed and truly admire J.K. Rowling and her extremely vast imagination. The books blow the movies away. The Cobra event, is the scariest book I've ever read. It's a fictional story that may one day mirror reality.

Hello, my name is John,and I joined myspace in mid November 2006. Having moved away from my hometown in the Philadelphia area, I've been living in the Southern California desert since 1989. I did live in northern California, in Petaluma for a few years in the mid 90's. Summers can be brutally hot here in the desert, but the gorgeous fall winter and spring make it worthwhile. I much prefer Petaluma, but my family is here and I moved back to help care for my elderly parents. I'm generally an introspective and independent guy, but I do like to go out and have fun. I adapt well to people and places as I'm a rather easy going and accepting person. I love Music and have seen hundreds of concerts. I also like to dance (disco, hip hop, and freeform, not touch dancing). I would like to learn touch dancing though. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, climbing, rafting, walking, bike rides, or just finding a nice place to sit and take in all the beauty that nature has to offer. I have a small group of really close friends, but I consider all the people I've met in my life to be my friends as well. For a 100% straight man, I'm a rather emotional guy. Movies for instance, frequently bring tears to my eyes. I like music and songs, that elicite a strong emotional impact, or have a good message! I like playing football, basketball, and other competitive sports. I'm vegetarian much of the time but I do eat animal food on rare occasions in the winter. I cooked for eight years at a natural foods restaurant in center city Philadelphia, and I've been a student of diet and nutrition since the late seventies. I believe in the philosophy of Macrobiotics and a natural approach to staying healthy. I believe pharmaceutical drugs generally do more harm than good, and that proper nutrition and nutritional supplementation are the best way to support and heal the structure and function of our bodies. I believe in personal freedom and would never force my views or beliefs on anyone. If you have any comments, criticisms, Ideas, or concerns about "My Space" feel free to express yourself.
