Ill Murk was born in Newham General Hospitol, East London on the 22nd June 1990 before moving to Northampton Town (East Midlands) at a young age

His music career began in 2003 as he joined the affluent BLACK LION CREW and at the age of 13 Ill had his first official booking at a Fever nightlub

In 2004 due to artistic differences Mr Murk and the Black Lions parted ways and Ill teamed up with the infamous Jah Troopers (Reggae sound system & music production camp)

In 2006 Ill Murk was recruited by record label Sidewinder Raw Entertainment and made his debut on the Sidewinder stage at Bristol's O2 Academy at the tender ae of 16

The year 2009 saw Ill Murk grace Ras Kwame's show on BBC Radio 1 with a live performance and also saw Ill represent for the Sidewinder brand overseas at Club Babylon, AIYA NAPA
