Bio
Grey Zephyr forever changed the world when the two Zephyr brothers and their kid sister first performed together as a barbershop quartet—minus one—in 1996. But since they were tripped-out on acid at the time, none has any vivid memories of the period. Regardless, with their extensive training on the clarinet, sousaphone, and glass harp, they have since cleaned up their unruly ways and incorporated instruments into their harmonizing a capella act. The original avant-garde lineup—including their trademark boater straw hats, red-striped waistcoats, and black sleeve garters—remains to this day unchanged. -
Members
J. Zephyr (age 35): lead male vocals, backup vocals, multi-instrumentalist, co-writer, voice impersonator, ex-U.S. Navy S.E.A.L., and frequenter of the modern-day labyrinth known as IKEA. A. Zephyr (age 34): lead female vocals, backup vocals, multi-instrumentalist, co-writer, president-elect of the Canadian Association of Civilized Bouncers, and has been to IKEA only once. But thought it was "pretty cool"...unaware she was actually in a corn maze. J. Zephyr III (age 36): backup vocals, multi-instrumentalist, co-writer, unlicensed lorry driver, and self-proclaimed expert on all things polka. He avoids IKEA at all costs...even at the perils of losing life and limb. -
