Daniel "Skip Grandz" Brown born February 13, 1983 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. However he now calls Minneapolis his home. Grandz began writing 2 bar rhymes and catch phrases on scratch paper and eventually started writing song after song and bar after bar. Grandz has a story to tell and he pays homage to the legends of hip hop throughout his tracks. Grandz influences are artists such as: Pac, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane and Biggie. Through his lyrics Grandz takes you with him on his real life experiences having traveled all over the world as well as delving into his psychedelic bud smoking trances. Grandz has dedicated many years to perfecting his craft releasing The New Old School (07'), The Autobiography (09') and I.C.O.N - A Perfect Picture, I M LEGEND (10) He has collaborated with various artist such as Gorilla Zoe, Max B, Toki Wright of Rhymesayers Ent., Detroit Cheddar Boys, Goon Squad which provided Grandz great leverage to shut the mixtape game down and take the Twin Cities to another level! Grandz has also perfected his stage presence which is one of the most exciting performances you see. He is the king of catch phrases his most popular phrase is "YOOOWWW"….Grandz has people from Minnesota, Sioux Falls all the way to Michigan Yooowwwing! He has toured all throughout the Midwest in cities such as Sioux Falls, Des Moines, Davenport, Marshaltown, Omaha, Lincoln, Kansas City, Detroit and all over Minneapolis Night Club scene. He has opened for artists such as Twista, Young Money, Lil Scrappy, 8 Ball & MJG, Lil Flip, Bone Crusher, AZ, Do or Die, Jkwon, MIMS, Skatterman & Snug Brim, Stevie Stone and more. Grandz has definitely made his presence known in this game he was nominated for 2 Awards at The 5th Annual Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards the categories are: TC Most Slept On and Mixtape of the year for "I M Legend". He was nominated by his peers throughout the Twin Cities so he has gained admiration and respect with his talent. World get ready for Grandz!!!!! Yooowww!!!!
