September 14 2008/ Album: Home is where my heart is/ Trio: Change of key/ Female singer: Danielle/ Song: Fly on my emotions/ Instrumentalist: Joop de Jong/ We are very happy and proud and like to thank all people who voted for us!! our performance together with Savannah during The Dutch Country Music Award show. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. JUST A SHORT STORY ABOUT THE HISTORY . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . During a benefit concert for 9/11 in 2001 Joop & Marijke de Jong of The Mary Kee Country Company were asked to play a set with Daniëlle, It was obvious then that the three made a dynamic connection and they decided to work together. Until that time Daniëlle performed with minidisk, but she had already felt the need to make music and be a part of the band, not just sing. She took her guitar off the wall and started to rehearse again. In a really short period of time the members of this trio worked hard, (of course with a lot of joy and fun) and put together a repertoire to fill an evening (3 sets of an hour each) with country music, evergreens, originals and covers. Lead and harmony vocals are divided between the three. Because of changing vocals, the diversity of the instruments they use and the varied repertoire: A PERFORMANCE OF THIS TRIO IS A REAL MUSICAL ADVENTURE ! Since 2003 many stages have been visited by Trio Mary Kee, Marijke & Joop made an album in 1992 with all original songs and now, because of this refreshing collaboration with Danielle, there was again a need to compose new material. Together they started writing and during the winter of 2005/2006 they wrote enough material for a new album. In February 2006 Marijke met a American producer in a country club in Holland. She asked him to work with them together to produce a new CD with just originals songs. The musical part is recorded in the USA and the vocals, harmony’s and some additional part will be recorded here in Holland in the little studio at Joop & Marijke’s home. They released their new album "Home Is Where My Heart is, September First in a little theater in their hometown Gouda. Until August 2006 n they performed as Trio Mary Kee, but because of their strong connection to each other and their cooperative efforts, they decided to update their name. As of then, their new is: CHANGE OF KEY The enthusiasm of these musicians bringing "their" music to you live is infectious. The fun and joy radiate from the stage! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........................................

    MARIJKE: “The musical engine” , on keyboard and digital piano. = = = = = = = DANIËLLE: "The heart-touching country voice" you’ll never forget, on rhythm guitar and mandolin. = = = = JOOP: "The music man, who plays several instruments, (dobro, guitar, bluesharp, banjo & lapsteel) to give a special flavor to each song. = PETER: Was a member of The Mary Kee Country Company for several years but left for health reasons. Since the beginning 2006 he has been playing again and he will be working with the group from time to time.
