Bio
LAWRENCE (CAMINO) WADE was born and raised in Gary,Indiana. At the tender age of eleven Camino's relationship with music had already become more than a hobby--it was the muse that saved his life. (Gary was then known as the "Murder Capital" of the country). In a time when unemployment was high and drugs overpowered the community, Camino's mother decided to get him out of Gary and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, Camino pursued his passion for music by attending a small music school that was ran by the late Jack Robinson. Mr. Robinson later went on to start one of the biggest music schools in the country--Institution of Production and Recording (I.P.R.) Shortly thereafter, Camino got together with a local friend and started a R&B- Hip-Hop group, "Grimmy and Camino" and released four albums and five mixtapes. The two independently sold 80,000 copies out of the trunk of their car and distributed them hand-in-hand throughout the midwest. Camino played a huge role in opening many doors for other local artist and rappers to perform in clubs that previously refused hip hop music. .. .. In 2005 Camino set his sights for Las Vegas, NV where he relocated and fueled a movement "B.E.A.S.T.M.O.B," which took innercity-youth and gave them studio access free of charge. It was a way for Camino to provide a positive and safe outlet as opposed to the destructive environment of the streets. After many performances, including 50 Cent, Mannie Fresh, Lil Mo, Youngbloodz, Mr. Cheeks, Black Violin, Scotty Boi, Bass Nacho, The 2006 Black Expo Awards, Rick Ross, Ice T, and Al B Sure. Camino decided to take his songwriting abilities to new heights. He added Pop, Rock, Techno and House music to his portfolio and in 2009 founded S.H.I.N.E. (Showing Homage In Neighborhoods Everywhere) Entertainment, LLC. .. .. S.H.I.N.E. Entertainment is an Independent Label committed to producing some of the finest music, models, and movies in the industry. By combining theater performance, fine art promotions, and years of experience in the industry, S.H.I.N.E.'s artist have the opportunity to gain maximum exposure. The highly anticipated "Space Modulator" will be the first album to be released under the label scheduled for January 2010. .. .. Camino's message is straight from the heart to neighborhoods everywhere struggling with domestic abuse, poverty, loneliness, depression, violence, homelessness, and survival. From jails to jungles; concrete to countryside; his lyrical style and metaphorical masteries attest to his gift as an artist, and genius as a pioneer. .. .. Camino is currently headlining his own show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Coming soon to a town near you. Look for him. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. -
